Guided tour with the ‘Poldertourinkar’:
Discover the Wieringermeer polder in the way it is meant to be: behind a tractor! Before or after the excursion in the green houses we will tour around in a real canopy car. Nice and cosy next to eachother on the wooden benches (with ofcourse comfortable pillows), you will experience the peace and quietness of this beautifull polder. The canopy car offers place for maximum 40 persons and had the honour to make its first ride with Queen Beatrix aboard! You can choose for a 4 hours ride or a shorter version of 2 hours. The extensive tour will take you to the ‘Dijkgat’ woods and the hole in the dike (where the Germans floaded the Wieringermeer in World War II), the lock near Den Oever (with spectacular hight difference of 5 metres!) and the former island Wieringen with its beautifull landscapes. The shorted tour will after the hole in the dike go through the Wieringermeer polder, along the Aquapark where yacht builder Jongert builds its famous ships. Both tours include a guide who tells you everything about the history of the Wieringermeer, from the dry milling in the 30’s until the actual plans to fload part of the polder again for watersports. It is possible to take an accordionist in the car!

This price includes guide in the car, VAT is excluded. We can arrange drinks aboard (1,50 per consumption), we can also take an accordionist (€ 50,- per tour).
