Wieringer Island Museum ‘Jan Lont’
Imagine…  before the making of the Wieringermeer polder and the building of the dike (Afsluitdijk) we had the island Wieringen in Holland. This island now is part of the top of North Holland, but it is still as beautiful as before. Are you curious to see how daily life was on the island Wieringen? You can visit Museumfarm Jan Lont in the tiny village Stroe. In this farmhouse you can get to know life on the former island Wieringen until 1920. You will see all parts of living and working of the former island residents. In the museum you will have a guided tour of approximately one hour in which several uses are being shown and everything you see will be explained. As of this year the museum has a new coffee room and a disable lavatory, which makes the museum accessible for everybody.

The Tulip Excursion and the Wieringer Island Museum have two packages:

Package 1:
10.30           welcome at the tulip excursion with two cups of coffee/tea with petit four, followed by a PowerPoint presentation and guided tour through greenhouses, cold stores and bunching room and, when the tulips are in bloom, also in the fields
12.00           farmers lunch buffet
13.00           departure to Wieringen
13.20           guided tour in het Wieringer Island Museum Jan Lont, where we finish with coffee/tea with Wieringer cake
14.50           end of the program

This package costs  € 23,75 per person, including VAT. The package can be booked by groups of 20 to 50 persons. The mentioned price excludes transport to and from the different attractions.

Package 2:

12.00           distribution of het lunch packages (2 bread rolls, piece of fruit, drink)
